Shooting BB guns

A nice end to a long day of work!!

Grandpa brought over a pellet gun for the kids to try.

The pop cans didn't fare so well....there wasn't much left of them when we checked the next day.

A Lesson from Grandpa

Tyler and Jeff were out working on moving the tree limb that fell on the horse fence, and then fixing the fence. Alex decided to try his hand at wood chopping! Made Grandpa and me a little nervous....so he got a lesson in using an axe!

Pretty hard work!!

Taking down the pool

We finally got around to taking the pool down...I hate to do that...it means summer is officially over. We were trying to clean it out a little as it was draining..Alex got in the pool to help out...I thought it was WAY too cool to get that wet, but he had a wonderful time!

Signs of Fall

Back to school time is a sure sign of fall....Alex is working hard this year.

Here are a few of the books he is using. We really like Abeka books!

I make up a schedule for him every week of his assignments. He is pretty good at working on his own!

Crusaders campout

Alex got to go on a campout for his Crusaders Club at church. They had to earn over 100 pts to qualify. Alex tied for 1st place in the contest. Here are some pictures of the fun! Tyler got asked to help chaperone...probably to keep Alex out of trouble!! Sounds like they had a wonderful time!

Red Ryder

Tyler has done an awesome job of entertaining Alex while I have been down. They have spent time fixing the barn, playing football, basketball, jogging to the corner and back, playing games and shooting Alex's RED RYDER BB gun.
