It's harder than it looks to throw the hat and get it to go up and look right coming down and have the right background and.....I think you need a good photographer.

Rainbow
On the way home from town Monday night, I had to stop and get some pictures of this beautiful rainbow.
Jeff was in the truck behind me and it was kind of funny..I signaled and pulled off to the side of the road and he just went around me and kept going...he called a few minutes later and said that the view was even better at the top of the next hill! He knew exactly why I was stopping!!

Our Time highlights..
We started our big OUR TIME youth conference tonight!! Since I helped with the cooking, these are the only pictures I have...there were a few of us that started making hamburger patties about 1130 this morning and finished up about 430 this afternoon..then we had to load everything up and take it out to Browns house for the men to start cooking..Let me tell you they were YUM!
We had a cotton candy maker and that was a HUGE hit this year...I am sure we all have a sugar high..once all the teens left for the evening, Tenille graciously stayed and made cotton candy for all the church kids and workers...Bryn had about 5 sticks of it...
Here is our little food tent where we fed over 500 people hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and cotton candy..

Red Hat
If you follow the subway thru the Mayo Clinic...there are alot of small shops and food places to visit..it took Kelly and I a few days to find them..I did stop at this little gallery and ask to take a picture of this blown glass red hat...for only $425 I could have brought it home!! I thought my red hat friends would enjoy seeing it!!
The Canadian Honker Restaurant
This is one of the restaurants where we ate last week...I enjoyed it immensly! They had delicious food and a fun friendly atmosphere..I had huge bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar, real butter and cream...a cinnamon roll and coffee..The pastors wife graciously offered to take us all out to breakfast. Kendra is such a fun person..we spent the morning with her eating and then hitting the local thrift stores!!
Since someone else was buying, I didn't want to get a fancy coffee...I have to say..they had wonderful coffee...for plain old coffee!!

Big Surprise!
I got home from my trip to Minnesota and this is what was waiting for me!! Jeff and the kids completely redid my room! I have been wanting to paint the dresser and fix it up a bit and they all worked all week getting it all fixed up to surprise me when I got home! What a pleasant treat to come home to!! I was totally surprised!! No one even gave away a TINY hint when I called.. What a wonderful thoughtful family I have..they spent their week without me here to keep them busy, keeping themselves VERY busy! I came home to a clean house and a new room and happy children!!

Out of town!
Hello all you blogger friends! I am visiting the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota with Dianne Brown this week! Kelly and I came up to keep her company and make sure she doesn't get into any trouble!!...ok ok..so she is the one keeping us in line! We drove up here yesterday and are staying at a guest house apartment near the hospital..I don't have access to be able to post any pictures..sorry nana...so I haven't been taking too many pictures...I will remedy that and post a few when we get home on Friday! Dianne was worried we would get bored, but that is never the case with Kelly and I...we can always find SOMETHING to do...yesterday we explored the hospital and found this little computer lab where we can at least get online and check the mail and my favorite blogs..
We ate at Bakers Square last night for supper and I had a delicious tomato basil soup and salad with a YUMMO triple chocolate pie for dessert...melt in your mouth good! This morning we served Dianne cappucino in bed..yes I HAD to bring my cappucino maker along...and then sat and chatted the morning away until time for her appointments. This afternoon we are going to do a little shopping and then head back to the apartment for another evening of giggling!! I haven't laughed that hard or that long for quite a while..the people above us were loud and FUNNY! They must have been watching a funny movie, cuz they laughed all evening and it tickled Kelly and she got to laughing and that got me going...
Miss you Bryn, Alex and Tyler!! Thanks for covering for me while I am gone! Dad says you are doing a good job!

Pineapple refrigerator dessert
I tried a new dessert last night...it is a pineapple creamy dessert with a graham cracker crust...I am pretty sure it is a low calorie diet type dessert...it is only butter, eggs, sugar, whipping cream and a can of pineapple....doesn't that sound low fat to you? It was pretty good..I need to tweak it somehow..it was a little bit bland tasting..like it was missing something..but very filling and we did enjoy it.
