Feeding time

Everytime I step foot out my door, there are at least 3 cats waiting for me! Today when I went out to feed them, 11 of them showed up! And that isn't all of them! we have quite a few little ones right now! They are so cute!

Toto thinks his name is "kitty kitty". He comes every time I call!

I don't think this little gray and white one wanted her picture taken! She kept a very close on me the whole time!

Post Preaching Jubilee pics..

After many long busy fun filled days of Preaching Jubilee preparation, Making 350 crescent rolls,baking, decorating and delivering wedding cake, nursery schedules, carnivals,bus route, work, cooking for the Tuesday potluck and then the actual services....this is what our house looked like on Thursday evening!

What could be better....a nap followed by milk and OREOS!(yes, we did eat supper!)

I don't think it could have gotten any better than a movie and oreos!

Sorry, Tyler, for eating your oreos...Dad found them in the microwave where I hid them....I will try again!

I am not sure Alex was too sorry!!

Alex

Alex has been incredible about filling in the gaps the boys left! This morning he got up and helped clean up garbage the cats had gotten into.... We loaded it up and took it to the dump with LOTS of help from Alex...then he came home and filled water tanks and I asked him to mow part of the front yard...He surprised me and did the whole thing! What a good worker he is becoming! THANKS ALEX!

Game time

Yesterday as I was driving home from delivering a cake, I thought it might be fun to have a game..mostly for my college boys...I took a few pictures to see if they could still remember where they came from!! I will send a bag of oreos to the first boy that can figure out where all these are taken....

A little hint...

They are all from the same neighborhood.....so to speak!!

Jessica asked me to do her senior pictures..so I invited her up for a trial run....just to see what we could do...Bryn went along..

We really did have a good time...I went to the same place I took Tyler's pictures..only after we got there...I figured out that we did his in the spring..no bugs..dead weeds...MUCH better...we all have some nice bug bites to show for our time there..

Brianna

Brianna came to spend a few days with us while her parents were busy..she got to help chore...

Jeff and Bryn took the "babies" out for a little ride..Bryn is riding my little horse.

Brianna was "patiently" waiting for them to get back so she could have a turn...

My New Cookie Baker

Since my original cookie baker left for college..we had to train a new one!

I think he did all right! We still miss you Tyler...No one makes cookies like you do!

Labor Day fun

We headed up to the horse sale and spent the morning looking at horses and watching tack sell...I left for a bit and went to see mom and wish her a Happy Birthday! Then we headed home after lunch and loaded up the horses to head out to brinton timbers to ride with Hammes. We decided to take Dash at the last minute....I have been riding Shy since wilson left!! I am for SURE that he had a smile on his face when we loaded him into the trailer...we have been leaving him at home since he doesn't always behave himself.. Alex decided that he was going to ride him and we ended up on a 2 1/2 hour trail ride..he did fantastic! Dash always has liked Alex best!

Bryn took "the Princess" out for a run as to Wilson's instructions....I am perfectly content to ride slowly through the timber and just enjoy the view...Shy is used to tearing through the trails with Wilson!

After hearing all our stories of "the Beast", Jessica decided that she wanted to try riding him...and fell in love! He really is fun to ride! I think he understood all my threats of .."This is your last chance to behave!"

Freedom is doing incredible! Since we have our own trailer, we have been riding alot more! It has been good for the horses..they are all doing much better! We went down hills, up hills, across creeks, through mud, over fallen trees and in general had a marvelous time!

Heading out to Omaha

Can you imagine packing four kids, college stuff for both boys and overnight stuff for the family all into the back of the Subaru? Yep...it can be done! Pretty squishy to be honest...but we made it! After all, we are a CLOSE family!! LOL!!

I had called ahead to make reservations at the hotel we usually stay at...but they upped the price since we were there last...so I called my favorite place to stay to see what they could do...surprisingly, they gave me a two room suite for less then what I would pay for a single room at the other place...I got the room for half price!!! Then, when we got there, they gave us a free upgrade to a Presidential suite..an even bigger two room suite..more room to make up for the squishy ride!!! Plus they offered us late check out so we could come back to the hotel after we took the boys to the airport! Isn't GOD GOOD?!!! Everyone got a bed to sleep in and had plenty of room to relax, PLUS a hot full breakfast...I had a mushroom and spinach omelet with bacon and coffee! LOVE THAT PLACE! I really think we should work out a deal so that I could live there!
