The basketball and volleyball teams are having a chili supper and bake sale today to raise money for their teams. Bryn and I baked some sugar cookies and frosted them to sell.

Be Still
It has been an interesting week for me. We have had our 35th Anniversary at church so Sunday was a big day of celebrating and doing special things for our Pastor and his wife. Then we had special meetings Monday and Tuesday. I am still recuperating from my surgery and didn't get to be at everything and in the middle of everything like I usually am..that has been hard for me. I was reading a blog, of someone I don't even know, that really encouraged me and got me to thinking. They were talking about how God tells us to Be Still...I have had a lot of home alone quiet time this week to think on that and it has been a blessing. I was reading in Luke 6 about how what is in our heart is what comes out and I actualy had time to stop and think about that. I used it for a morning devotional with my kids...when we find our selves short and irritated and grumpy, maybe we need to stop and think about how much of God we have in our hearts and how much time we have stopped to fill our heart with HIM and His goodness. I have been frustrated this week with having to stop and not being able to do my work and my running and take care of my family ... but....having some extra time to spend with my Bible..some extra quiet time .....to BE STILL...has actually been a blessing in disquise.
